The Xinsway RGB ceiling light is a great way to upgrade a boring fixture. It has a lot of features including a remote, adjustable light temperature, brightness, full color spectrum, multi-level lighting (the main light plus the upper light), and app control including Alexa and Google. The fixture is basic white plastic but still looks nice.I installed the fixture in our living room. Instructions are included however they provide little detail. If you've never installed a light fixture before you should first watch a how-to video online. The first two steps show drilling holes in the ceiling. I skipped that part since and I mounted the base plate to the existing electrical box. Long screw slots in the base plate make easy to center the plate and tighten the screws. I had to be careful not to overtighten the screws since there is some flex to the plastic. Two lever nuts are included, which was a nice surprise. They have the CE mark on them. The wires are pre-stripped, pre-twisted and tinned, which is also appreciated. To connect the wires, open the levers all the way, insert the wires, and then push the levers down to lock the wires in place. There is no requirement to use a ground wire and none comes with the light, so I capped the wire coming from the ceiling with a wire nut. There is a safety chain which can be used to suspend the light from the ceiling while connecting the wires. The light fixture has tabs which fit into the base with a little twist.Operating the light using the remote is easy and intuitive. Batteries were not included. I also did not like that when using the button that cycles through the various modes, when it goes to white it puts the light on the brightest setting instead of the last white setting used. Thankfully, when turning the light off and on again, it does remember the setting. To set up the app, there is a button on the remote to put the light into set up mode. You have to hold it down until the light signals that it is ready to connect. The manual has good instructions regarding the apps. I like the Tuya app because it has individual buttons for the various temperatures plus a variety of colors. Above those choices are large boxes with full color ranges for white and RGB. You can basically select any color you want. I also linked it to Alexa so I could use voice commands. The light works great with both the Tuya app and Alexa. You can say things like set the light to red, 60% brightness, turn the light off, etc.I really like the light fixture. It's works great and is a very good quality product.
