Much easier to use that Home Assistant but admittedly not as powerful. Would only suggest for seasoned Smart Home users that would rather something more user friendly. Easy to get up and going but still has its quirks.

Seemed to work well....with what connected to it....and when it connected to the Internet.50 drops in 5 hours sitting right next to the WiFi.Then couldn't get a lot of things connected, zigbee worked fine, but my aqara locks only 1 worked, and wyze camera wouldn't. claimed wyze app is coming, but between the connection issues, random devices not working, and high price, I had to return it

I bought the Homey Pro (2026) to replace an older hub that was behaving erratically. For the most part, the transition went well. Devices like lights, outlets and switches all work. Devices like my Kwikset door locks and GoControl garage door control won’t pair with my Homey hub. I have 2 major issues with the hub. The first is that switches and contact sensor can’t be used to trigger Alexa routines. The second issue is that their support bot doesn’t work well. Many times it gave me instructions with commands that didn’t work. I don’t have any audio and video equipment so I can’t comment on those. I would give this product a qualified recommendation that says check it out to see if it is capable to do what you want it to do.

I am quite savvy with home automation, with experience on Alexa, HomeKit, and now mostly through Hubitat. Homey would not have been my first rodeo. I bought it because on a recent firmware upgrade my Hubitat C-8 "bricked" because the power failed during the update. So, I decided to give Homey a try as it looked interesting.I tried adding Z-Wave devices and it argued with me every step of the way regardless of what I did. Contrast this with Hubitat where Z-Wave - whether with security codes or "open" - slide right in with no issues or arguments. I managed to get two Zigbee devices to pair, then tried setting up some simple scripts to test it. More problems."Maybe you got a bad one!" For $400 it should be good out of the box. It is sitting in the car as I write this; it is being returned today.(I managed to revive my Hubitat by a back door and reloading a past version of the firmware, got it going, updated to the latest firmware, and am setting things back up again. The C-8 is no longer available, but the C-8 Pro is, and while not as "graphical" as Homey, once learned is a snap to use. YouTube videos and the user community are both great on helping you get going.
