Three days with this light and I love this thing! The “serious” part of the light, e.g. the center, is a tunable white that can be incredibly bright if you choose. Warm white, cool white or anywhere in between. And it dims impressively well, too. Not all LED’s do. But the rgb outer ring is fantastic. I don’t have any scenes or themes set up yet, but the presets are really cool. Fun. This light is a bargain if you own an Aqara hub. It’s still a bargain even if you need to buy an Aqara hub to run it! The equivalent model by Philips Hue costs three times as much! As a fixture, it’s light. Any ceiling box should do. There are drywall anchors included though, if the ceiling box is inadequate. Although the light diffuser is made of plastic, it’s very high quality . It has a premium look and feel to it. Mine is installed in the master bedroom and honestly, it looks pretty high end. I found the installation easy. Screw the included bracket to the ceiling box, wire it up and secure it to your ceiling with the two included wingnuts. Open the Aqara app, add device (quite easy) then have fun! I’m sure you can do neat “responsible adult” stuff like time dependent scenes to match the sun or whatnot. But I’m playing with this light like a ten year old who just got a Transformer for their birthday. I’m ordering another another for my son’s bedroom.
